A real 5MP security camera should record better images in both clarity and image quality in the aesthetic sense: #1. Better Clarity. The 5MP security cameras have better clarity than the low megapixel cameras, thanks to their improved resolution. For example, the 5MP IP camera is sure to be at least twice clearer than the 2MP (1080p) ones.
The analogue input is limited to 1080p. That means it will only sample at 1080p. It should work though. 5MP camera will not work in recorder supporting 2MP TVI camera. Better to get 2MP camera or change the recorder. If the camera can be set to output 1080p it might work.
**Please note that CCTV Camera Pros is now recommending our best selling Viewtron 4K security camera DVRs. The BPRO-OL952 was set to 1080p (2mp resolution) and the 5MP-BL52 was set to 5mp resolution. The iDVR-PRO DVR that we used is able to record at 1080p and 5mp resolution. The DVR supports 4k resolution video output via its HDMI output.
The Viewtron IP-B2 is a 1080p / 2mp IP bullet camera with built-in IR night vision. This network IP camera is enclosed in a IP67 rated weatherproof bullet housing so that it can be used for indoor and outdoor installations. The built-in IR LEDs provide infrared illumination up to 120 feet. The fixed 3.6mm lens captures provides a 86 degree
4mp vs 4K security cameras. Good morning, everyone, Mike from CCTV Camera Pros here. In this video, Iām going to run you through a demo of the 4K dome camera that I have installed on my front door as part of my home surveillance system and the 4 megapixel camera that monitors my walkway and just compare the video resolution.
My CCTV guy is recommending a 4k DVR, but I'm wondering if that would benefit the quality when a 5MP camera is 2560x1920. More interesting question is if your going to put these all outside would there be better quality with 2MP over 5 or 8MP. Resolution is only one part, a shit lens could make any resolution useless.
